This is the second book in the trilogy - the looking glass wars by Frank Beddor.

Ok so i really enjoyed the first book, through the looking glass. Or something like that, but this is actually a disappointment, it's almost no point in reading the second one. Like if you didnt know there was a second book in hte trilogy it wouldnt make much difference, but i think this book is a bit of a waste of money.
It's pretty much all fighting, theres nothing about it that really drew my attention, like it took, what 2 weeks to finish it, that might be partly due to school but still i would usually get a book finished within a  week even with school.

Basically, Alyss Heart is now the Queen of Wonderland, but things have to be stirred up, King Arch of Boarderland doesnt agree with Queen's as rulers so he plans to take over Wonderland by using the Diamonds, meanwhile Redd on planet Earth is assembling an army to attack wonderland so she can once again be the ruler. But she needs to try to find her Maze so she can go through it and become even more powerful.
Really, you're not missing much, there's not much point in getting it, it's better if you just leave it with the first book. 'cus now sometime, maybe in the future im gonna read the third one to see how it ends, hopefully its better!!

I feel bad about writing that it's bad, im liking taking money away from Frank Beddor, but im sorry Frank, it's jsut not that great. :/

This book has gotten a few on and off reviews, some like it some don't. I suppose its like that for all books, but i decided to give this book a go, see what i think about it.
I liked the book, it was enjoyable, nothing to bad but nothing superb either. It was a bit slow, kinda dreary, it maybe dragged on a bit long. But i enjoyed the story,

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.
Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.
Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.
When Luce wound up at Swords & Crosses, a reform school for disturbed kids, she never thought she’d meet anyone worth knowing. I mean, it’s a school for kids with problems – naughty, psycho, crazy and messed kids. The place even looked and felt like a jail. But this is life, and things never turn out the way we expect, do they?
Meet Daniel. The moment Luce lays her eyes on him she feels it. This thing. A connection. Like she’s met him before or something. All this in one little glance. But if he felt it, he certainly isn’t showing it. Daniel makes it more than clear that he’s not interested in Luce, that she should stop stalking him, stop harassing him. He doesn’t want her, so why can’t she stay away from him? Why can’t she get him out of her head? She knows there is something off about him and she’s determined to figure out what it is. Only then will she be able to shake her heavy heart.
I hate the way Daniel treats Luce. He’s more than just a little rude. Even more than that, I hate the way Luce shamelessly keeps going back for more. I kept asking myself where this girl’s self-respect was, and how she could let a boy treat her so badly. I’ve read enough books like this to know by now that often, my initial reaction to characters like Daniel is wrong and that much more lays beneath the surface. Even though I was aware of this, as I was reading, I couldn’t help but feel ticked off by him. The question is you should be asking yourself is, did I stay this way, or did he win me over in the end?
Enter Cam. He’s the guy you love to hate. He’s charming, he’s beautiful, and he’s definitely interested in Luce. He flocks to her immediately, stepping on anyone else’s chances of even attempting to score with her. And Luce likes him back, she does. That’s why she’s not backing away from his advances. But there’s just something … missing, and she can’t quite figure out what it is. Maybe it’s that everything with him is just so easy. There isn’t any inner emotional struggle, no deep pain caused from simply being around him. But is easy what she’s even looking for?]

So, Cam is the guy who's made it clear that he likes Luce and is interested, he's cute and really sweet, the guy you would go for once you realize he guy that you like isnt interested, but Luce is stil hooked. Daniel is the guy who flipped her off even before he knew her, and does everything he can to avoid her, but somehow Luce remembers him from somewhere, she seen him before she's sure of it. When Luce tried to find something about Daniel, theres nothing to be found, just one book in the school library, but it seems to always be checked out.

In the book it takes a while for things to pick up, but it is worth it, it is kind of slow and could be considered slightly boring, but i would give it a go!!

    &lt

I know this is a book review blog, or whatever, but i'm going to review "Alice in Wonderland" the film by Tim Burton as i saw it yesterday!! :)

So we all know the story, yes?
Girl falls down rabbit hole, yada, yada, yada? Correct?

    Plot;

19-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror.

Alice is soon turning 20 and has to start looking for a husband and try to settle down. She is brought to a garden party, where she is told Hamish will propose to her.
While she is there she see's  rabbit with a waste coat on and a clock, he seem's to be rushing to get somewhere. This seemed very familiar to Alice, she had had one dream ever night every since she was very young.
So you know the plot basically! If not, read my previous review about the Alice in Wonderland books!! K? (:(:(:

I really enjoyed the film, it might be the fact that Johnny Depp plays the Hatter, im like in love with Johnny Depp, seen all his films, it really to bad that he's married, and like twice my age!! (: :/ Ahwell!
But it is a really good film, i saw it in 3D, you might want to aswell!!
The 3D does come out, 'cus oyu know in some 3D films, it's not that much 3D really. I love Tim Burton's films, and for this film not exactly being that scary, which seems to be Tim Burton's specialty, scary, this was a really good film! It's something that everyone can see, ever age, guys and girls!
But there is a slight something that makes me give this book a 4.5 out of 5 rating. I cant quite pinpoint what it is, it's just something!!
If you've seen the film, please comment on what you think!!

Because i saw "Alice in Wonderland" by Tim Burton yesterday, i'm going to review the book "Alice in Wonderland" by C.S Lewis and the other take, the supposed real version of Alice in Wonderland by Frank Beddor!

    <------------ C.S Lewis

Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-glass

Conceived by a shy British don on a golden afternoon to entertain ten-year-old Alice Liddell and her sisters, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderlandand Through the Looking-Glass have delighted generations of readers in more than eighty languages. “The clue to the enduring fascination and greatness of the Alice books,” writes A. S. Byatt in her Introduction, “lies in language. . . . It is play, and word-play, and its endless intriguing puzzles continue to reveal themselves long after we have ceased to be children.”

Even though everybody knows the story line and how it goes, it's still an enjoyable read, it's a very short story, but it's how it's written, how inventive it is. It's so different, a girl falling down a rabbit hole, that's not something you hear everyday!! But of course, it is like a kids story, so the older you get, it's less likely to entertain you the way it once did!!
At first with "through the looking-glass" i was kind of confused, i wasn't so sure what was going on, but it does attach itself to the first book, but with most books if the first book was so amazing, whether it was the writing or the  story line, if there is a second book, it usually doesn't live up to the first book! Just the way it is!
This is a cute book to read to your babies, younger sibling or younger nieces or something!

The Looking Glass Wars - Frank Beddor.

This book is supposed to be like the original Alice in Wonderland, like C.S Lewis just made a gimmick out of Alice's story. But really this book is just a story, and i actually loved it, it just amazed me! I was maybe 10 or something when i first read it though but i picked this book up again a couple of weeks ago and read it again, i didn't think it would be as good, as i was like 10 when i read it last, but it still gave me that thrill of reading it and i realised how much i loved the book in the first place!
But only now, i've realized that there is a second and third book, so going to get those and read them and then i'll be back to review them!!! So hold on!!

The Myth: Alice was an ordinary girl who stepped through the looking glass and entered a fairy-tale world invented by Lewis Carroll in his famous storybook.
The Truth: Wonderland is real. Alyss Heart is the heir to the throne, until her murderous aunt Redd steals the crown and kills Alyss' parents. To escape Redd, Alyss and her bodyguard, Hatter Madigan, must flee to our world through the Pool of Tears. But in the pool Alyss and Hatter are separated. Lost and alone in Victorian London, Alyss is befriended by an aspiring author to whom she tells the violent, heartbreaking story of her young life. Yet he gets the story all wrong. Hatter Madigan knows the truth only too well, and he is searching every corner of our world to find the lost princess and return her to Wonderland so she may battle Redd for her rightful place as the Queen of Hearts.

LOVE,LOVE,LOVE,LOVE!! That is all i have to say! The summary says it all really, how supposedly C.S Lewis got the story wrong! Like if you liked C.S Lewis's Alice in Wonderland, you'll really like this book!! :)
It might not be to everyone's taste, but i do recommend this book!!! It's very enjoyable!!

Ok, so we all heard of this series? The vampire Hottie, falls for the human girl? The werewolf guy is also in love with the human girl, both fight for her? Who wins? Well thats for you to find out!! :)

Ok, so we all know how the story goes, most of us have read it and the ones who haven't already know how he book finishes or are waiting for the films to come out! :)
But i couldn't find a book to review, so i thought i'd review this series!!

Ok, some are in love with this series, me included, and some hate it! Both are exceptable, no one judges!!! ;)

    TWILIGHT;

Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Isabella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Isabella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife-between desire and danger.Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

I loved this book! This was actually the first of this type of story that i had read, before it was the more girly books, (i.e. jinx, queen of babble, confessions of Georgia Nichols.) So i was surprised how much i loved it!
I was hooked by the first page, but more out of interest. I remember buying this book and sitting down to read, and i was like, "well this is new." not thinking it was bad but neither bad, but about ten minutes in i was hooked and i read all night and the following day, hardly able to put it down. I was mesmerized by it. But it might have been the fact that every girl wants her own "Edward Cullen"!! Don't worry, i would LOVE my own Edward Cullen, but of course, you do have to remind yourself that he's only a fictional character *Tear* *Tear* :):):)

    NEW MOON;

In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

So now, this book was good, but you have got to say, it doesnt do any justice to how great Twilight was. You have to admit, but then Mr. Jacob Black enters the scene!! I think all of us girls like him aswell, even though Edward, is well.... the main Hottie, there's Jacob who's just so loveable, and you feel sorry for him when he can't talk to Bella, cant tell her why either!!
I love when Edward's back, but then it's like, "Naaawww" for Jacob, you can tell he loves Bella, but she just doesnt see it!! :)
So which team are you on? Edward?Jacob?Mike?

    Eclipse;

As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob—knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

In Eclipse, Bella is now made to choose who she wants to spend her life with Edward or Jacob, like if it was me i'd ask if i could just have both? Like who would want to give up Mr. Perfect (i.e. Edward) or the warm cuddly guy who never left and has always been there, (i.e. Jacob) So it's hard!!
This book now brings it up a bit, the story, theres a twist in it!!
But still, it doesnt beat Twilight, but it's better than New Moon!! :)

    Breaking Dawn;

When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?

To be irrevocably in love with a vampire is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, a tumultuous  year of temptation, loss, and strife have led her to the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or to pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fates of two tribes hangs.

Now that Bella has made her decision, a startling chain of unprecedented events is about to unfold with potentially devastating, and unfathomable, consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella's life—first discovered inTwilight, then scattered and torn in New Moon and Eclipse—seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed... forever?

So now Bella has chosen Edward, and they get married at the start of the book! All very romantic!
The first part of the book is Bella's view of things, her wedding and marriage! and then the second part is in Jacob's view! Which i like, it gives it a twist, and someone else's perspective! And then you kind of find out, and choose yourself if you like Jacob or not! I liked him from the start, but of course, Edward was always my man! :)
And then the third part is once again Bella's view!!
It's a really good book, with a nice twist, so it isnt all just simple, lad -e -da, they're finally married, typa thing!! :)
The ending i do have to say, in my opinion wasnt that great, it just like ended, i was expecting something a bit more, but then i figured that what she's done is, that she's finished the book, with an ending, but with the ending she can also come back to it and make a fifth book and it would be fine! So Very Clever!! :):)

So, we all want Midnight Sun to come out (Edwards version/view of Twilight [ a very clever thing!!]) as far as i can see, or find on the net, she's still on pause. :/
And she wants to write a few more books, different from the Twilight Saga or The Host. So it will be a few more years, unfort. :/
Yah, but we can all look forward to her next books, and just hope that she's soon back on track and writing Midnight Sun!! :)

      <-----Lucy Christopher, (Pretty isnt she!?)

Stolen, is such an amazing book. It's like nothing i had read before. I was actually captivated from the first  page, wanting to know what happens next. Totally getting into the character of Gemma.
You feel sorry for her that's she's taken from everything she's used to and just told to stay with Ty. But then you feel sorry for Ty as Gemma hates him so much (I do get it though, he kidnapped her, like!) and he like really likes her, Ty just wants some company and thinks that Gemma is the right girl for it, nothing sexual, just a partner, company.
It's a really good book and i love the way it's written, that Gemma is writing the letter to Ty, explaining how she saw it and what she was feeling, going through what happened, it's a lovely story with a nice plot. Simple but at the same time quite intricate, different!
Thoroughly enjoyed, i'll give it 4.8/5. I'm not so sure why i deducted that .2, but it somehow just doesn't get that 5/5, rating! (SORRY.)

Sixteen year old Gemma is kidnapped from Bangkok airport and taken to the Australian Outback. This wild and desolate landscape becomes almost a character in the book, so vividly is it described. Ty, her captor, is no stereotype. He is young, fit and completely gorgeous. This new life in the wilderness has been years in the planning. He loves only her, wants only her. Under the hot glare of the Australian sun, cut off from the world outside, can the force of his love make Gemma love him back? The story takes the form of a letter, written by Gemma to Ty, reflecting on those strange and disturbing months in the outback.

    It's a a lovely story!

I hope you enjoy it! :)

I know we've all heard of the "Twilight Saga" but have you heard of the Host?
Yes, most probably, if you liked the Twilight Saga im pretty sure you all went in search for more of Stephanie's books, as you do have to admit, she is a very talented author who writes amazingly, really captivating your attention from the very first page!
And with the Host, you wont be let down, it's AMAZING! And it's completely different from the whole "vampire werewolf" theme, 'cus many authors which I've read they have a hit, a really amazing book and then they kind of stick to that genre, the one that got them to the top. I'm not dissing them, because they're obviously at the top because they can write, but nobody wants to read about the same thing for like ten books, unless it's a series! :):)
But i know that many are sick of Twilight and hated the theme and generally didn't like the books, and yes thats fine, we all have different likes, but i do recommend this book anyway. It's not anything like Twilight, so if your stuck and cant find a book to read, give this book a go! You might be surprised, cus like the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover!" (And, the cover is very good!) But basically what i'm saying is that just 'cus you didn't like twilight(if thats the case) doesn't mean you cant try Stephanie's other books!
OK, well i'm babbling now, just trying to show what a good book it is! :)

    Host-
The implantation is in its final stages. Soon, earth will be completely free of humans and the planet will be a peaceful place for the “souls” to enjoy - as it was meant to be enjoyed.

Very few humans remain on Earth. When rebels are discovered, they are captured by Seekers - the closest thing to a police force the "souls" have. Once captured, they are prepared for implantation where a small cut is placed at the base of the skull and the "soul,” a centipede looking creature, is put in the body. The "soul" connects to the body and takes control. The first experience the "soul" has is the receiving of the host body’s memories. Typically, the host recedes and leaves the "soul" alone to continue life as usual. For Wanderer, this didn’t happen.

When Wanderer one of the souls is put into the body of Melanie Stryder, Wanderer expects it to be easy, take over her body and gain full control, be just like every other soul inside the other bodies, but Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away, making it difficult for Wanderer to gain full control of Melanie.
Usually the human, the host, just fades away, they're no longer in control and they dont know what's going on, but Melanie is fully aware of what's going on, she was one of the survivors when the Souls took over, running from them, but she was captured and Wanderer was put inside her.
As Wanderer can't gain full control of Melanie she takes to the challenge of finding out where the rest of the survivors are hiding, hoping to find them and put a soul inside of them.
As Wanderer probes Melanie's mind she come's across the memory of Jared, the man Melanie loved. Wanderer see's many memories of him, she relive the memories as if they were her's and soon Wanderer is falling for Jared, even though she never met him, but the force of Melanie's emotions and memories is enough to make Wanderer agree to run away.
Wanderer, still controlling Melanie's body runs away, only guided by Melanie's mind and memories. For all Wanderer knows she could be running to her death, but the overwhelming presence of Melanie's memories and emotions pushes her forward.

The story is amazing, it catches your attention from the very first page, and you really feel for Wanderer and Melanie, not sure who you want to agree with.
Wanderer who has to put up with Melanie, the anguish she's put through, as she feels everything, inside, the emotions of Melanie and on the outside the bruises and scars which she received. Wanderer was just a soul, doing her thing, doing what she was told to do, and now she has to deal with everything, but then on the other hand,
Melanie was caught and had a soul shoved into her, something which she would rather have died than have done. Melanie was trying to avoid this at all costs, and now that it's happened and she's still in their, but she cant control of her body, she cant speak or move, she's just a mind. She can communicate with Wanderer, but it's up to Wanderer what she'll do and say.
And then all of a sudden Wanderer starts falling for Jared, HER Jared and she cant do anything about it.

It's hard to choose which side! :) (Just like with Jacob and Edward in Twilight!)

This book is amazing, but i have heard from some people that read it that they did find it hard to get into, like it does drone on a bit, but just carry on with it! :)

<--------------------- Not only is she pretty but she's an amazing writer! :) (Jealous or what?)

Hush,Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick is a really enjoyable book! I love the story line!

    Hush,Hush

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

Even though Nora knows not to trust Patch, there's just something about him that makes her fall for him. The way he's always there, it's creepy but almost reassuring, like her own guardian angel.

It appears that unfortunately, there isnt going to be a sequel.:(
But lets keep our fingers crossed and i'll keep you all updated!!

I LOVE how this book was written, it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen. I rate this book 5/5!
I like how Aden does everything, starting school and all that just to be near Mary Ann, who quiets the souls living in his head.
The story is quite complicated, you have to kind of know the souls, know who's speaking, but Gena pulls it off effortlessly. This is one book that i HIGHLY recommend!!

Like most teens, Aden Stone has friends. They just happen to be the four human souls living inside him.

One can time travel. One can raise the dead. One can tell the future. One can possess another human. And they’re causing him all kinds of trouble. All he wants is peace.

Then he meets a girl who quiets the voices, whenever he's near her. Why? Mary Ann is his total opposite. While he attracts the paranormal, she repels it.

Somehow, they share an inexplicable bond of friendship that will soon be tested by a werewolf shape-shifter who wants Mary Ann for his own, and a vampire princess Aden can't resist.

Two romances, both forbidden. Now the four will enter a dark underworld of intrigue and danger—but not everyone will come out alive...

Unraveled - The sequel to Intertwined is out September 2010! (Can hardly wait!)

For once, sixteen-year-old Aden Stone has everything he’s ever wanted:

    A home.
    Friends.
    The girl of his dreams.
Too bad he’s going to die…Since coming to Crossroads, Oklahoma, former outcast Aden Stone has been living the good life.  Never mind that one of his best friends is a werewolf, his girlfriend is a vampire princess who hungers for his blood, and he’s supposed to be crowned Vampire King – while still a human!  Well, kind of.

With four – oops, three now — human souls living inside his head, Aden has always been “different” himself.  These souls can time travel, raise the dead, possess another’s mind, and, his least favorite these days, tell the future.

The forecast for Aden?  A knife through the heart.
Because a war is brewing between the creatures of the dark, and Aden is somehow at the center of it all.  But he isn’t about to lie down and accept his destiny without a fight.  Not when his new friends have his back, not when Victoria has risked her own future to be with him, and not when he has a reason to live for the first time in his life…
