    Patrick Ness;

    -The Ask and The Answer

    Chris Cleave, this book, "the other hand"
       Little Bee is a teenage asylum seeker who has barely escaped a horrible death in one of Nigeria's unsung oil wars. For her trouble, she winds up doing two years in an Essex detention centre. When she is released from the detention centre having nowhere else to go, she looks up a journalist couple who, two years before, had witnessed the horrors she fled. When she arrives, she finds out that Andrew, the guy she had met in Nigeria and was planning to stay with had died. She is taken in by Andrew's wife Sarah, but hse is an imigrant, how long can hse last unseen, before hse has to be shipped back to Nigeria and face the consequences of leaving.
     Be warned, this book is not for the faint hearted!

    Linda Buckley Archer, is the Author of the book,  "Gideon the Cutpurse" I have to say that i thoroughly enjoyed this book.
      An encounter with an anti-gravity machine catapults Peter Schock and Kate Dyer back to the 18th century and sets in motion a calamitous chain of events. While a massive police hunt gets underway to find the missing children in the 21st century - in 1763, a hardened criminal, the Tar Man, steals the anti-gravity machine and disappears into the London underworld. Stranded in another time and forced to chase the Tar Man to his lair, Peter and Kate find a friend and guide in reformed cutpurse, Gideon Seymour. Gideon does every thing he can to help them, but will his dark past catch up with him before the machine is recovered?

    Sally Nicholls has written the book "Ways to live forever" I Think the book has to be one of the saddest i've read before. I was in tears for most of the book, and i dont cry for books or films or any of it!
      Sam is an ordinary 11 year old boy, but he has leukaemia. Sam loves facts Sam's questions are things like, “Why does God make kids get ill?” and “Does it hurt to die?” and he tries to answer them with the assistance of his fellow leukaemia sufferer and friend, Felix. The book also illuminates how his illness affects his family's relationships both with him and with each other.

    It's very easy to read (in the main - some of the more painful parts are harder) and it's done with a very light touch.

    Be warned, this is a very sad but touching story, one that may not be easy to read due to its sad story line!

    Sally Nicholls
    - Ways to live forever

    Kate thompson has written the book, "The new Policeman"  The book is set in Ireland, dont be dishearted yet, i know not much happens in Ireland, but you might jsut be wrong;
      There never seems to be enough time in Kinvara, or anywhere else in Ireland for that matter. When J.J.'s mother says that what she really wants for her birthday is more time in her day, J.J. decides to find her some. But how can he find time for her, when he barely has enough time to keep up with school and his music? And where will he get time to find out if the shocking rumor is true—that his great-grandfather was a murderer?

    It seems as though J.J.'s given himself an impossible task. But then a neighbor reveals a secret to him—there is a place where time stands still. J.J. realizes he's the only person who can make the journey, but to do so he'll have to vanish from his own life.

    And when J.J. disappears from the village, enter the new policeman. . . .

      I do have to sya though, that this book was good, but you might not get into it as easily as the other books. It does have a boring side to it, but once you finish it you can decide if its good or not!:)

    Gabrielle Zevn is the author of the bok "Memoirs of a teenage amnesiac"
       The summer before their junior year of high school, Naomi Porter and her best friend Will, both co-editors of the yearbook, flip a coin to see who has to retrieve an expensive camera they left out. She loses, finds the camera, and trips on the stairs. The bump on her head takes away her memories of the past four years. She no longer remembers Will, her parents' divorce, body changes since the 6th grade, her boyfriend, or her likes/dislikes as a teen.

    Along the way she and her boyfriend Ace break up and she connects with the boy who found her on the steps and rode with her to the hospital. His own dark past and journey in self-discovery help jump-start a romance between them. Once Naomi reevaluates who she is, she makes important changes involving meaningful relationships in her life.
